You can do this with the Posts count extension by Kirk. Download the extension and extract it to the /ext folder in the root where phpBB is installed.
It starts working as soon as you activate it from ACP. When I examined the codes of this extension, I saw that it integrated post counts directly into the language code; A logical method. Thus, it has a structure that can work with almost anything. In the picture above, you can see that the extension works without any problems on the connections in my Mobile Upgrade extension.
