Push Notifications for phpBB has finally been officially released by the Extension Development Team. This made me very happy; because in today's social media world, push notifications are almost a necessity. It is marvellous to be able to take advantage of this with the official support of phpBB.
The extension description is as follows:
"Enable Web Browser Push Notifications for your phpBB forum. Board members will be able to receive real-time system notifications from their browser on their computers or devices for any of phpBB's existing notifications. This covers essential forum activities such as posting, moderating, and private messaging.
This extension gives phpBB3 forums early access to the Push Notification feature originally developed for phpBB4."
Announcement and download page:
[3.3][RC] Browser Push Notifications
I've tried a test board soot. It's admirable. Marvellous. However, I'm waiting for the general release before installing it on this board and others, probably phpBB 3.3.12.
This is huge news. What do you think about it?

Re: Push Notifications are Now Officially on phpBB!
The latest version of the extension is installed on this dashboard. You can enable push notifications to test it and not miss things that are relevant to you. On iOS it should be installed as a web app (in Safari Share icon > Add to home screen > add)

I haven't used macOS before but it shouldn't be too different. Can you do this?

Great to see the latest extension update on the dashboard! Enabling push notifications is a smart move to stay updated with relevant info. For iOS users, installing it as a web app via Safari ensures seamless access and usability. This integration really enhances the overall experience!
