It is important to create a sitemap to give search engines, such as Google, a sort of guide to index your phpBB forum. To create a sitemap for your phpBB dashboard you will need the extension. Download the phpBB3 SEO Sitemap extension developed by Shredder:

Upload it to the /ext folder at the root of your phpBB installation and export it. Then enable it from ACP > Customise > Extensions Manager.

Find SEO Sitemap Settings in the Extensions tab to adjust the settings. There are two types of settings I recommend you make here. Make the cache ‘0’ and make Changefreq all ‘always’. Submit.

Because forums and social media are always ready for new content due to their structure. I think new pages should instantly appear on the sitemap.

In some of the tests I did, I was stressed about specifying a time and when the content would appear on the sitemap as a result. Always checking topics and forums makes them more quickly recognised in new posts. My opinion.
